ABOUT ZOOLOGY DEPARTMENT

Welcome to the Department of Zoology at Shri shiv shahu Mahavidyalaya, sarud established in 2014 and imparts teaching at the undergraduate level. The department has well-equipped laboratories for undergraduate students to provide hands-on training. The department helps to train students to respond to global challenges and particularly the needs of society through education in the areas of biology, invertebrate, and vertebrate zoology.

We are aware of the fundamental role of science and biology in the lives of citizens today and tomorrow. We emphasize biological literacy in our education and educational programs. The integrated teaching-learning process is the heart of the department. The department also contributed to society by organizing poultry management training, water treatment plant training, and industrial effluent treatment training. Education in the field is provided through regular field trips specifically for skill enhancement courses in zoology such as sericulture, poultry farming, Vermicompost,etc., which provide students with an insight into the various career opportunities in zoology. We also organize the scientific talks of eminent speakers to strengthen their knowledge and inculcate curiosity and research aptitude. Currently, the department reaches new heights in the fields of teaching and the development of infrastructure in modern zoology.
