The logo of the institution wherein two lamps held is symbolic of wiping out the darkness of ignorance by the light of knowledge. The three letters SSS stand for Shri Shiv-Shahu that combines the progressive values of the two great kings. One is Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the Great Maratha king and other is Rajarshi Chhtrapati Shahu Maharaj,the most progressive and visionary king of the Princely State of Kolhapur of early 20th century. The two flames of the lamp also stand for instilling the flames of knowledge. The flickering flames also indicate the message of lighting the lamp of knowledge from the learned to the unlearned.
